Irrigation Minister Will Have to 'Wear the Jumper' - Chamara

 Badulla District MP Chamara Sampath Dassanayake (NPP) stated in Parliament that the Irrigation Minister will have to wear jumpers.

'The mountains cracked and were destroyed due to the lies spread by the 'Malimawa' (Compass) faction. Don't take this as a joke. If water had been released gradually, this problem wouldn't have occurred. 

We are not saying anything about the landslides. We are talking about the failure to release water. If things were right, the Irrigation Minister should resign. These responsibilities cannot be shirked. Also, we must thank the people of the South who provided us with food. The Irrigation Minister will have to wear jumpers. He must take responsibility for these deaths," the MP further stated.
