Cancer causes one-fifth of deaths in Mongolia

Mongolia has a high burden from non-communicable diseases, with cancer now the second leading cause of mortality.  One-fifth of all mortality in Mongolia are cancer deaths and the death toll in 2020 is 4.5 thousand, this indicates that cancer has reached catastrophic proportions in Mongolia. According to a study, this number will double by 2040.
