Artiste Wijerathne Warakagoda and Chithra Warakagoda celebrated their 5oth wedding anniversary (Swarna jayanthiya) recently at Mount Lavinia hotel by celebrating another wedding. Several artistes were present on the occasion representing all fields and minister Chamal Rajapaksa too was present at the event. 

50 years before this, their wedding was celebrated in 1970 at Grand Oriental hotel and the two bestmen, the two bridesmaids as well as the flower girls too were dressed in the same manner this time too ... and all of them being still among the living was something of a special feature. Son Jananath and daughter Vindya joined in the celebrations. The entire Warakagoda family are connected to the arts.
