Uddika, Arjun and Anusha in the fray for general election

Political sources say that performer Uddika Premaratna, Arjun Kamalanath and Anusha Damayanthi are expected to contest on the Sri Lanka Podu Jana Peramuna ticket at the forthcoming general election, it is reported. 

Uddika Premaratna is expected to contest by

representing Anuradhapura district at next parliament election while cinema actor Arjuna Kamalanath has mentioned yesterday at a meeting held in Ambalangoda that he would be contesting from Galle district. Performer Anusha Damayanthi has informed that she would be contesting from Galle district from Podu Jana Peramuna and that she hopes to represent the Bentara - Elpitiya seat which Geetha represented, it was reported.

All three of them had come forward to publicly announce asking to cast the vote for present president Mr. Gotabhaya Rajapaksa's victory the latter whom contested last presidential election as a candidate of Podu Jana Peramuna. Anusha Damayanthi even made speeches   on stage for Pohottuwa. "I come forward for the parliamentary election on the invitation of Mr. Wimal Weerawansha of Jathika Nidahas Peramuna and with blessings of president Mr. Gotabhaya Rajapaksa", Arjun Kamalanath has announced at yesterday's meeting.
