Judge Gihan Pilapitiya interdicted .. because of telephone conversations

As a result of sensational telephone conversations with Ranjan Ramanayaka, high court judge Gihan Pilapitiya has been interdicted. This order to interdict Gihan Pilapitiya who functions as Embilipitiya high court judge has been issued by judicial services commission on approval by president. The president has granted

approval for it today.

A report inclusive of recommendations of judicial services commission in respect of conversations that took place with former minister Ranjan Ramanayaka and high court judge Gihan Pilapitiya was directed to president Mr. Gotabhaya Rajapaksa and the president as accepted it today. What is indicated there is that his duties be suspended. 

The order enforcing the interdiction of high court judge Gihan Pilapitiya with immediate effect was issued this afternoon (21). As a consequence of a video carrying a conversation with Ranjan ...
