15000 of Ranjan's voice cuts of one lakh twenty thousand sent to parliament library

UNP Mp Mr. Ranjan Ramanayaka yesterday (22) said that compact disks containing his telephone conversations are deposited in a certain bank and requested bail for two days to retrieve those. He also mentioned that he has taken steps to table a part of it deposited in the bank to parliament.

Though minister Mahindananda made an allegation yesterday that Ranjan's voice cuts have not been tabled, even by now 15000 of those have been sent to the parliament library, it was reported. It was
because of the prevalent suspicion that state minister Mr. Kanchana Wijeysekera asked parliament whether those compact disks have been tabled as Mr. Ranjan Ramanayaka said day before yesterday (21).

State minister Kanchana Wijeysekera: Has compact disks (containing voice cuts) been tabled as Mp Ranjan Ramanayaka said?
We tabled information available with us about the bond scandal. If those tabled by him is available; let us have those for scrutiny. If not an inaccurate message would be conveyed to the public. One telephone call has been given to me to inquire about the bond scandal. If possible .. announce that also.

Mp Ranjan Ramanayaka: My compact disks are inside a locker in a certain bank. Some disks hidden by the government will be handed over today. A part of it is being recorded. One lakh and twenty thousand voice cuts are at various places. According to court order I am now in prison. If I was outside I would have been able to prove those.

State minister Kanchana Wijeysekera: Provide a special facility and permission for him to go to bank and fetch those. It will be important.

Mp Ranjan Ramanayaka: Give me 2 days bail from court ... I will get all this done.

In the meantime five compact disks comprising fifteen thousand conversations have been handed over to secretary of parliament by Mp Ranjan Ramanayaka last afternoon (22). Those compact disks so handed over are to be directed to parliament library across hansard department this morning (23). UNP Mp Mr. Harsha de Silva mentioned that as promised by Mp Ranjan Ramanayaka, these compact disks were tabled last afternoon (22).
