Rajitha Senaratna found from Lanka Hospitals ... heart theatre

It was reported that in order to record a statement from member of parliament, Mr. Rajitha Senaratna who is presently warded in hospital, the criminal investigation department had taken steps to take down his statement this night at the room where he is stationed at the hospital.  Whatever it is, he would be staying in hospital continuously under police protection.

A team of officers of criminal investigation department has visited member of parliament, Mr. Rajitha Senaratna in search of him at Narahenpita Lanka Hospitals Private Hospital.

After search operations during the last few days carried out by criminal investigation department and the police special task force to arrest former minister Mr. Rajitha Senaratna who is under warrant according to information received this afternoon, it was found that he is stationed at Lanka Hospitals Private Hospitals, Narahenpita.

As reported, the former minister has been prepared for a heart surgery at the cardiology unit and has been admitted for that purpose. What hospital news sources had said was that according to the former minister's health condition it is difficult to release him while in that condition. Though officers of the CID and officers of police special task force have have been to former minister, Mr. Rajitha Senaratna's home situated at Jawattha, Colombo 7, even people in the house have stated that they are at a loss to say where he is. An attorney at law of his had come and mentioned that Mr. Rajitha Senaratna is not at home and that he too is on the look out for him when officers visited the former minister's home.

Whatever it is, the manner in which he had gone away in the midst of all this without informing anybody in the home, poses a problem and on previous occasions when a surgery was warranted he had been to Mount Elizabeth Hospital, Singapore. There were instances reported when subjected to serious ailments at a time when some politicians and theros connected to politics were to be taken into custody at a time before this. In any case, the location where MP Mr. Rajitha Senaratna is has already been specifically known to police.
