Jaffna experiences sun being covered  because of solar eclipse 

Sri Lanka was able to experience a rare type of solar eclipse after many years today from 8.10 in the morning till about 11 in the morning and that instance could be observed during that period. 

This solar eclipse was almost totally was to be observed while at one moment a ray of sun's rays was to be noticed in the form of a circle covering the sun completely. Astronomical Research Institute
which observed the phenomenon portrayed those image frames as shown here. 

This solar eclipse is seen in only a few countries around the world and it is a speciality to get the opportunity of seeing it clearly by Sri Lankan public. The last occasion when this solar eclipse was ween was in the year 2010 and this type of solar eclipse would be seen again in the year 2031.
