Sick condition of Amparai female who attended divine service worsens and ends up with death!

Large numbers of people rocked from various corners to the Amparai Senerath Somaratna playground to attend a divine service programme of curing sick people and on that occasion 12 persons who fell sick were admitted to Amparai general hospital and one woman among that crowd had passed away day before yesterday (4), medical Dr. Upul Wijeynayaka, director of Amparai general hospital stated. The said programme was conducted last third and fourth at Amparai  Senerath Somarathna playground.

Nine individuals who were present at the divine service were admitted to Amparai general hospital on
the third day. On the fourth day three were admitted to hospital and one woman has passed away, hospital sources say. It was one J.M. Malani Jayaweera (37 years) living in Kandawalegoda Wathukara Kanda, Balangoda who passed away in this case.

Husband of the deceased, Mr. Shantha Wimalarathna had told police that his wife had been in a sickly condition for 11 years and though she was treated at Rathnapura and Balangoda hospitals she was not cured   and he had made her attend the divine service of curing people last 3rd and since there was a large crowd present on that day, she was made to attend the service the following day, 4th. His complaint to police further said that his wife became ill during that service and subsequently he had pleaded with the person who organised the programme as soon as possible but that they had not paid attention to his plea and after that he had taken his wife to Amparai hospital where she had breathed her last. The post-mortem on the death was scheduled to be conducted at Amparai general hospital.
