6 more arrested according to questioning from Pallai doctor

As a consequence of interrogation of judicial medical officer of Pallai hospital presently under custody, six other persons were taken into custody, police media spokesman, police superintendent Mr. Ruwan Gunasekera said. He further said that rumours alleged to have been circulated by Pallai hospital judicial medical officer Dr. Sinnaih Sivaruben in custody about
assassination of two dignitaries are false. 

Police spokesman also mentioned that rumours are being circulated that a confession was made about a plan to assassinate Mr. Mahinda Rajapaksa and former secretary of defence, Mr. Gotabhaya Rajapaksa. He added that Sinniah Sivaruben who functioned as judicial medical officer of Pallai hospital was arrested concerning terrorist activities and that according to an elaborate process of questioning, six others were taken into custody. He went on to say that after a lengthy period of interrogation no mention was made concerning such an assassination attempt. 

According to interrogation of Dr. Sinnaih Sivaruben, Sinnamani Thaneshwaran, Iranthiram Krishnaraja, Mohana Sunderam, Vinagamurthi Nejalan, V. Nimalaraj and Ruben Jathusan were taken into custody. According to questions posed at the doctor, explosives, ammunition and some weapons were recovered.
