Fantastic 'game' of Angoda Lokka from India ... involving the dual murder in Hanwella

Mirihana special crimes unit who came to know that a businessman in Hanwella together with his driver were shot dead on an order of underground gang leader Angoda Lokka managed to arrest yesterday (29) three underground gang members linked to the incident.

It was revealed at investigations that a dispute which resulted over a matter concerning filling up a land in Athurugiriya belonging to Angoda Lokka ended with this dual murder. The three suspects

taken into custody happen to be stalwarts of Angoda Lokka's underground gang and are residents of Mulleriyawa. They were arrested for having made threats to the life of businessman Sumedha and for aiding and abetting the dual murder, police say.

Both these assailants had come to Sumedha's house in Pahathgama and had connected themselves with Angoda Lokka in India across a viber video call, it was revealed at investigations. The killers have shown a wedding photograph to Angoda Lokka of Sumedha the victim via viber and the former has informed them that it is him who should be killed.

The businessman who was the victim had promised to fill up a marshy land belonging to Angoda Lokka in Athurugiriya and proceedings on that matter too had begun. However, because of a legal issue work on attending to that matter regarding the said marshy land has come to a standstill. Angoda Lokka who became furious because filling of the land not being attended to has then threatened Sumedha continuously to stop the soil business. But not heeding his words Sumedha has continued with his soil business.

Subsequently, employing two members of his underground gang Angoda Lokka has gone to the extent of gunning down and killing the soil businessman and his driver last 25th night at Hanwella Pahathgama. The two underground members involved in this dual murder and some others are expected to be arrested. After engaging in an attack on the Kalutara prison bus and killing Ranale Samayan and 6 others,Angoda Lokka has fled to India.
