Vessel gifted to Sri Lanka by China ... reaches Colombo port
The vessel P 625 gifted to Sri Lanka Navy on June 5, 2019 by People's Republic of China in order to expand operational activities arrived in Colombo port last morning (8) and according to Naval traditions and ambassador of China Messrs. After the vessel arrived in the port of Colombo, the navy commander was engaged in an inspection tour of the vessel and on that occasion and supervised the operational and function of the ship. This vessel is to be handed over to the authority in the near future.
This ship which has been manufactured in the year 1994 is of a length of 112 metres and 11.2 in width with the capacity running into 2300 tons. The commanding officer of P 625 vessel will be captain Nalinda Jayasingha and a staff of 110 including 18 officers would be on duty.
