Gotabaya back in the island

Gotabaya Rajapaksa, former defence secretary who was away in Singapore for medical treatment arrived last night (23) at Katunayaka Airport. It was reported that he arrived at Katunayaka Airport on board Singapore Airlines SQ - 468 last night at 11.45 . It was after a surgery he underwent in Singapore and having spent a
period of six weeks' relaxation that he came to Sri Lanka. 

The case filed against Mr. Gotabhaya Rajapaksa by a three-bench of judges at high court in connection with Medamulana D.A. Rajapaksa museum is expected to be taken up for hearing on Friday 26th and will be taken up for hearing daily thereafter. In the meantime, the general assembly of Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna will be held next August 11th and on that occasion former President Mr. Mahinda Rajapaksa will name the next candidate for Presidentship as the leader of the party, political sources have reported. A section of the Peramuna are of great faith that otabhaya's name would be mentioned on that occasion while another group are of the same faith that Mr. Chamal Rajapaksa's name would be mentioned for the same purpose.
