Nuwan Kulasekera comes for Bangladesh final one-dayer and signals his departure
Sports minister Mr. Harin Fernando said that the first match of the one-day cricket tournament played against Bangladesh would be named on behalf of Lasith Malinga while the final match in the tournament will be named on behalf of Nuwan Kulasekera. Moments of Malinga and Nuwan marking their departure will be commemorated in both these games.

In any case Nuwan Kulasekera has not been named for the one-day tournament with Bangladesh. However, the sports minister has not indicated whether Nuwan's resignation is commemorated as a player in the team or as having come separate. A written request has been made from Cricket institution before this to grace the occasion with a token match for Nuwan Kulasekera who was someone who represented the Sri Lankan team as a fast bowler and in addition was a number one bowler of the ICC.
What cricket secretary Mr. Mohan de Silva said when inquired by the media was that a decision would be taken in this respect after due consideration. According to what the minister today was that Malinga would be leaving the one-day games after the first match scheduled to be played with Bangladesh team on July 26th and that Nuwan Kulasekera would be resigning from the cricket field from the one-dayer to be played on the 31st.
