Muslim businessman ... killed in Dehiwala!
A person who had come to rob a building material sales establishment known as Jayalanka Traders situated on the right side of Galle Road towards Colombo from Dehiwala flyover had fled after attacking the owner injuring him seriously. What police say is that on admittance to Kalubowila hospital the victim has passed away.
The owner of the sales outlet, a Muslim by the name of Abdul Azees had closed the door of his
trading centre and was relaxing when the robber concerned has broken open the door of the outlet and come inside and had tried to rob the money there. On that occasion the the owner has tried to prevent him from doing so when the suspect after attacking the owner with a knife has taken to his heels, it is reported. The said murder has taken place last afternoon around 3 o'clock and it is understood that the deceased is a 63 year old father of three children. Dehiwala police have started investigations to track the criminal who has committed the crime and has fled.
