News sources from Temple Trees state that a special meeting was held this afternoon (3) between Mr. Ranil Wickremasingha and ministers Rishad Bathiudeen, Rauf Hakeem and ministers representing the government. Muslim politicians have made a decision to resign in this manner and gathered today (3) for this special meeting and have discussed that the government and opposition are not taking interest in the security of Muslim nationals, it is reported. Another special meeting is scheduled this evening to discuss in parliament this conflictory environment which has cropped up which is to be held with participation of all Muslim members of parliament, political sources say. It is understood that a media briefing is to take place after thie said discussion. Muslim ministers who represent the government have called for a special media briefing at 3.30 this afternoon at Temple Trees and the judgement is expected to be given.
