Thousands rock to Kandy in support of Rathana thero
Governors Asad Sali and Hisbulla have by now resigned on their own, thus complying to some demands made by Athureliye Rathana thero.
Thousands of people rocked to the city of Kandy today requesting that immediate action be taken in solving these issues. A letter in unison by Malwatta Chapter and Asgiri Chapter has been directed to
President Mr. Maithripala Sirisena and Prime Minister Mr. Ranil Wickremasingha. It is also stated in that letter that if any tensed situation is to arise among public for failing to take swift action in this connection; the government should take responsibility in that respect.

Passenger buses starting from Kaluthara and Aluthgama have been suspended in support of Rathana thero. Further, public have decided to provide support to Rathana thero by closing down shops in Matale town while all buses starting from Gampola town from 12 in the afternoon today have been suspended.
