Names of 59 MPs on day of parliament-chaos ... released!

Inspection procedures carried out in connection with the chaotic conditions which prevailed on November 14, 15 and 16 created by MPs who were angered because of lack of the majority in parliament after Mahinda Rajapaksa was elected Prime Minister last year have now been finished. A report with a list comprising fifty nine parliament MPs involved in acts such as becoming aggressive and behaving somewhat violent by
throwing chilly powder and hailing books at police officers and others was tabled yesterday (22) by Speaker, Mr. Karu Jayasuriya. In this report, complaints have been targetted at 54 MPs of People's Freedom Alliance, 4 MPs of United National Party and 1 MP from JVP.

As such, the accused are as follows:

The Speaker has announced that from the aforementioned list of names, punishment will be meted out by court to MPs who are accused of having hailed a chilli powder attack on police officers under the charge of disturbing duties of civil servants and on the charges of damaging property in the House and for not obeying orders of the House which will be carried out under parliamentary privileges. 

This committee which was appointed under the chairmanship of Deputy Speaker, Mr. Ananda Kumarasiri and all representative MPs are represented from all parties. However, the two MPs Chamal Rajapaksa nd Chandrasiri Gajadeera have not participated in matters of the said committee.
