Youth member of parliament Vijayaruban abducts student returning from exam, for refusing his love ... and then abuses her!

Kandiah Vijayaruban (27) said to be a youth member of parliament of Killinochchi district has been arrested in connection with an incident of having abducted a 19 year old female student returning home from the examination and was abused after that. 

The girl concerned who had romantic involvements with the said youth parliamentarian has rejected him and as a result, in order to take revenge on the girl he had got together with a friend of his and

had finally kidnapped her and subsequently abused her, it was reported. Thus, Mullaitivu magistrate Mr. Lenin Kumar ordered yesterday (23) that Kandaih Vijayaruban and his friend Ganesh Darshana (27) be remanded till next 4th. the magistrate further ordered that the two suspects be produced before an identification parade on that day and other suspects connected to the abduction be taken into custody.

The incident under reference has taken place last 20th in Udayakattu in Pudukudirippu. The victim who happened to be a schoolgirl had appeared for the advanced level examination and had been returning home when she was so kidnapped. The two suspects had come with a group of accomplices in a cab and two motor cycles and abducted the girl and then taken her to an abandoned spot in Pallay after which she had been abused. Though the schoolgirl was dressed in her school uniform at the time of abduction, she had been made to dress up in another costume after being abused and was left abandoned at a lonely location close to the Udayadikattu house, it was reported to police.

This youth member of parliament represented the parliament from Killinochchi district in 2017 - 2018 and it is also understood that the other suspect happens to be his bosom friend, police said. The cab and a motor cycle used in the abduction has been taken into police custody. The girl subjected to abuse was treated at Mullaitivu hospital and later had appeared for her exam at Udayarkattu Maha Vidyalaya yesterday (23) under police security, it was reported. On instructions received after she was produced before the judicial medical officer, she had been taken to the examination hall under police security, police has said. Police are conducting further inquiries regarding another 5 suspects.
