plays hell and breaks glass panes in police station under intoxication!
An attractive female dancer of a night-club in Colpetty was brought to Colpetty police station day-before-yesterday (30) night because of a clash she was involved in at the club concerned. At the time she was found intoxicated and had damaged glass panes at the police station and created a rumpus. As a result she was taken into
custody, police say.
The dancer had been subjected to assault at the night-club and had behaved in a fighting manner and when she was brought to the police station, it was revealed at investigations that the dancer under reference was in a state of intoxication, Colpetty police had informed.
The suspect dancer has had drinks with some other dancers at at the club and had got involved in a fracas and in that instance she had been beaten up by a security guard and thrown out of the club. On a tip-off received by 119 police emergency unit a team of Colpetty police officers had visited the spot and brought her down to Colpetty police station. The dancer had on that occasion behaved as under exorcism and resorted to damaging glass panes at the police station and thus behaved in a fighting manner. Under these circumstances she had to be taken into custody.
The security guard at the said night-club too was taken into custody yesterday on suspicion of having assaulted the dancer and caused her injury. The dancer who was subjected to assault was admitted to Colombo National Hospital and further police investigations are underway.
