65 year old father-in-law slashes daughter-in-law's neck, killing her saying "you killed my son also!"

Passara police say that the dead body of a woman whose neck was cut and killed with a sharp instrument was found day-before-yesterday (5) night in a house in Welibissa, Meeriyabedda, Passara. The deceased was one P.M.Neluka Priyanthi (40) living in Welibissa, Meeriyabedda, Passara with one child. 

The husband of this woman has committed suicide over a family conflict when she was with child and thereafter since his death has lived in that house. While living like this, there had been several

clashes between this woman and the father-in-law at various intervals in connection with the house in which they were living.

On the occasion when a clash had flared up day-before-yesterday (5) night, Passara police were able to find that this murder has taken place with her neck being strangled by the assailant saying "you killed my son also". Passara police took the owner of the house into custody, a 65 year old person who thus happens to be the deceased woman's father-in-law, in relation to the murder and was produced before court. Instructions were issued yesterday (6) to remand the suspect till the 9th of this month.
