Moneragala teacher-pupil connection ends up in disaster!

The incident where two school teachers of Moneragala created a stir with an exchange of videos within the internet recently of a schoolgirl being abused has a bitter social pressure beneath the student's life filled with tears. 

The 16 year old schoolgirl whom these teachers preyed upon saying "she came willingly with us", actually was someone who brought poverty with her by birth. It is understood that the girl's parents are those who were striving to win the battle of life by biting the dust of Moneragala's parched earth.

This girl was the only daughter these parents had and were living by giving first place to life's battle and these teachers themselves tried to prey upon this student's pressure.

At the start it was Hashan Ratnayaka, a History teacher of a government school who proceeds to cast his romantic eye on this innocent flower. He would lure students by inviting them for his classes by issuing free tickets and it is initially as a result of that innocence the teacher-pupil association blossomed a number of days with the girl being transported in his vehicle from her home to school and from school to her house from time to time. She nevertheless may have had some pride about a teacher who had posters all over the road and even coloured art-work about him in buses as well, thus carving a name for him in the whole area, ... getting close to her. 

Villagers who were witness to all this have in the process sounded the schoolgirl's mother several times about these scenes ... but the mother had not heeded those alerts, it is learned. The said teacher had on a number of occasions when moving in his vehicle had been in conversation as close friends and on a number of occasions had attempted to embrace her ... and there had been no protest on the part of the schoolgirl in such instances. A a consequence he had taken a step beyond that and invited her home with the proposal of going to bed with her. 

One fine day, the teacher-wife of History guru had left for Polonnaruwa in connection with a funeral matter of the family; and on that particular day as there was nobody present at home had decided to bring the girl home quite easily. Thus, being successful in his manouvres, he manages to fullfil his intentions ... throwing the dignity of his profession to the winds! 

This guru who warns the girl in the end to keep all this a secret does not stop there and proceeds to transfer his prey for the satisfaction of his friend too. On the other hand, Suneth Hettigoda who imparts Technology is no stranger to this field. In fact both of them had been engaged in this activity on a number of occasions. In the case of this teacher he takes the schoolgirl to a different place and that incidentally happens to be a guest house in Moneragala area. This particular teacher who proudly enjoys himself as having been successful in achieving his act, even goes further in being motivated to video this beastly act and then assuming his heroic attempt had released the scenes to the internet. 

It was after this that this clandestine affair came to light that everyone's pedigree crashed! Thus everything came to an end with a black mark being etched on the entire field of teaching as a result of this sinful act of the two teachers. 

By now further investigations are proceeding in respect of these suspect-teachers and its purpose is to find out whether the suspects had indulged in other activities akin to this. It would further be inquired at this inquiry whether the 'curiosity' that cropped up among the villagers had not occured in the minds of the girl's parents because of their lack of understanding or because of socio-economic reasons.
