A millionaire businessman who was involved in various businesses including lending money on interest was shot dead yesterday (25) while strolling along the jogging track close to Malabe Neville Fernando Hospital. It was one Roshan

Premalal (48) a resident of Himbutana 'Banku handiya' who has been subjected to murder this way.

Intelligence services have received information that Angoda Lokka who has got together with Makandure Madush from the deceased who is involved in contract businesses, importing heavy vehicles and later selling them and other businesses and has asked for a 'kappam' (ransom). Police say that two suspicions could be taken into account; which is that this murder had taken place for refusing to agree to the 'kappam' or else for some business entanglement.

This businessman had arrived in a Prado jeep and had been going to the playground near Neville Fernando Hospital to engage in physical exercises when he had been shot ot as observed from investigations and it is also understood that the assailant has come on a motor bike. This then is the 15th murder involving the underworld which has taken place during the past 3 months around congested urban areas.
