Some politicians have by now turned the racial conflict prevalent these days in Kandy to their own advantage. What member of parliament Wimal Weeravansa says is that a 'gamer' is behind these incidents. What he inferred as a hint was that a certain slim person who wears a national dress and came to parliament from the district of Colombo

plans out this discord. This 'gamer' he compared to Jehan Fernando in the tele-drama 'Koombiyo' which is being telecast over Independent Television Networks.

"MP Mr. Dilum Amunugama informed Deputy Inspector General that a thing like this would occur. But that it didn't receive any favourable response as such. The DIG has responded saying that the situation is under control. This has been well-organised. There's a character called Jehan in the tele-drama 'Koombiyo'. This Jehan is a 'gamer'. It's a 'gamer' like Jehan who's behind this. That means, the first match-stick was lit by a slim person who wears a national dress and who came to parliament from Colombo district. Who's this Jehan?"

It was questioned yesterday in parliament at the cabinet information briefing about this point raised by Wimal and what Minister Rajitha said was that Wimal could provide evidence about that person. When questioned yesterday (07) from Minister Mr. Patali Champika Ranawaka about this allegation, what he said was that there is no point in responding to things Wimal says.
