As such, Mr. Somasiri Alakolanga has entered clergyhood under the name of Harispaththuwe Somananda Thero with guidance of Adhikarana Sanghanayaka Uluwitike Jayasumanaaraamadhipthi Shasthrapathi Achaarya Maabotuwana Piyarathana Nahimi 2 months ago. On the occasion when news correspondents visited this thero following the path of a monk now at the vihara where he could be located, it was initially notified that it was not possible to meet him as he was on a Buddha pilgrimage with the nayaka theros and other monks. Later though the mediamen tried to engage in conversation with him, he had rejected giving an interview to newspapers.
