Youth who indulged in Copy - Paste to President, Prime Minister ... remanded
Chief Magistrate, Colombo Mr. Gihan Pilapitiya today (08) issued orders to remand the youth Ratgama Dinush Chamara who allegedly broadcast death threats to the President and the Prime Minister across an audiotape through the Facebook website, until 15th December. This 25 year old youth concerned was taken into custody by the Criminal Investigation Department.
The attorney-at-law who appeared on behalf of the suspect had said that some information secured
from another Page in the internet had been so published by him and to grant him bail under that condition. Whatever it is, since inquiries are underway in this connection the CID has opposed the request of granting bail and had so informed courts.The courts who considered it had ordered that the suspect be remanded till the 15th and that the progress of the the investigations to be forwarded.
