Olympic medalist Susanthika in ICU Diyatalawa-suspected to be dengue

It is reported that the Olympic gold medalist Susanthika Jayasinghe is been treated in the intensive care unit of the Diyatalawa hospital.

It is said that on the 27th when Susanthika Jayasinghe had arrived in Diyatalawa to attend to a

workshop on athletics as an adviser.During this exercise she had felt faintish and  was admitted to the Diyatalawa base hospital.

According to doctors her ailment had been identified as 'dengue' fever.It is reported that her platelet count had gone down .She had been admitted to the intensive care unit and is to be sent to Colombo for further treatment.
