Last rites of Milina Sumathipala on Thursday the 29th instant

The  last rites of the chairperson of the Sumathi group of companies Dr Milina Sumathipala is to be conducted on the 29th Thursday afternoon at the premises of the All Ceylon Buddhist congress at Bauddhaloka Mawatha Colombo 07.

Dr Milina Sumathipala  chairperson of Sumathi group of companies,a former President of All Ceylon Buddhist congress was a leader  of women Buddhist units, respected philanthropist, forceful social

worker, a film producer.

President of the Sri Lanka Neurological trust fund who took part in several religious and social welfare activities was well known internationally too.

At the time of her demise at the ICU of a private hospital she was 81 years old.She was the beloved wife of late UW Sumathipala.She was the mother of two sons and five daughters.

The remains of Dr Milina Sumathipala would leave her residence in the afteronon of Thursday  the 29th instant to the premises of the All Ceylon Buddhist congress.
