In parallel with the southern  province literature festival a exorcising ceremony  had been organized at the Medamulana junction to invoke blessings on the people.Former president Mahinda Rajapaksa had attended this ceremony

the other day.

The ceremony was also graced by the southern province office youth affairs and cultural minister Weerasumana Weerasinghe,the chairman of the southern provincial council Somawansa Kodagoda. member of southern provincial council Ajith Rajapaksa and several other dignitaries had participated.
