Cricketer Nuwan Kulasekera who was arrested in connection with a road accident which took place in Ranmuthugala has been released on police bail. As has been reported as a result of the negligence of the 28 year old youth from

Nittambuwa who was riding the motor bicycle has struck the motor cycle against the edge of the road and had got thrown towards the middle of the road and another vehicle in close proximity had avoided him and moved the vehicle aside. However the youth had got run over by the Nuwan Kulasekera's vehicle which came behind. Kulasekera has told police that he was unable to instantly understand what took place in that manner.

Nuwan Kulasekera in custody because of the death of a youth from the accident

Popular fast bowler of the Sri Lanka Cricket team Nuwan Kulasekera has been taken into police custody having been involved in a road accident where he is responsible for the death of a youth. 

A youth had been knocked down by the motor vehicle which was driven at high speed by Nuwan Kulasekera in Ranmuthugala area, Kirillawela, Kadawatha and the said youth had succumbed to his injuries and had passed away from this accident. After falling from the motor cycle which the victim was riding he had then got run over by the motor vehicle, police say. The deceased youth is 28 years of age and residing in Nittambuwa, it has been identified. By now Nuwan Kulasekera has been taken into custody by the police and is detained by the police. He is expected to be produced in courts in future.
