Hirunika once again pleads justice

The final verdict which shook the country last week was the decision taken by the Supreme Court to enforce the death sentence on 5 convicts including Duminda Silva in connection with the murder of Bharatha Lakshman Premachandra. Subsequent to

that verdict Bharatha's daughter Hirunika from the complainant party is clearly seen in launching an attack once more as observed from her notes or comments recorded in the Facebook yesterday.

She focuses attention on a frightening photograph taken after Bharatha was murdered and which had not been made public so far, which draws attention to the moment when the right side of his head has been pierced by a bullet. Pointing at the photo what she says is that Duminda Silva has played a fake role for the sake of publicity to attract evidence towards securing benefit of sympathy and to indicate that the injury was already present before the shooting. Therefore she says that those who aided and abetted in preparing false medical reports too should be penalised.

After the Bharatha incident of shooting, Duminda Silva was admitted to Jayawardene Hospital and on that occasion it was Consultant Physician Maheshini Wijeyratna who recommended that he be admitted to Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore for further treatment because bullets had entered Duminda's head and that his condition was serious.
