Vacation extended for 06 schools owing to Advanced Level paper markings

Owing to the first phase GCE Advanced Level  2016 question paper markings from the 29th August to the 11th September it has been decided by the related education authorities to keep six schools completely closed.This had been

disclosed by the Commissioner General  of Examinations.

Accordingly  Colombo Royal College, Nalanda,  Viharamahadevi Kandy,Swarnapali , Seethadevi Balika Vidyalaya and Jaffna Hindu Balika Vidyalaya would be closed completely during this period.These schools will reopen on the 13th September.All other schools would resume on the 31st August after the school vacation.
