Ranjan and Ananda discloses about a defender Jeep used by Mahindananda Aluthgamage for thuggery
Deputy Minister Ranjan Ramanayake and Member of Parliament for the Kandy district Ananada Aluthgamage had summoned media personnel to the Madiwela housing complex site for parliamentarians to disclose about a defender jeep which had been parked in the premises .This particular defender jeep had been used during the presidential election campaign of former president Mahinda Rajapaksa for irregular
activities and thuggery This is according to Member of Parliament Ananda Aluthgamage.
At the premises close to the parked defender jeep in front of the media personnel a telephone call had been taken to a responsible officer of motor traffic department to ascertain the owner of the defender jeep and any other details pertaining to the defender vehicle.
Inquiries had been made to find in whose name the defender vehicle bearing number GE 4034 had been registered. The answer had been that the RMV had not registered a vehicle under that number and had confirmed that such a number is not in their system. However the preceding number had been a car registered under the name of the former minister of sports and present member of parliament Mahindananda Aluthgamage.
It is reported that these number plates are fictitious and for anyone to use this vehicle without accepted registered number is a matter of grave confusing concern.
The member of parliament of the UNP for Kandy district Ananda Aluthgamage had added that this defender vehicle is very familiar to him used by his cousin brother Mahindananda Aluthgamage and had been extensively seen in Nawalapitiya area. He had also added that this jeep had been used for thuggery and other irregular activities by his cousin brother.
Ananda Aluthgamage had astounded and bewildered to find the vehicle so familiar to him parked at the Madiwela housing complex for parliamentarians. In this regard complaints have already been lodged at the Nawalapitiya and Cinnamon gardens police stations. It is reported that they are in the process of filing action in courts in this regard. Ananda Aluthgamage hopes to request the police to expedite investigations and file court cases.
