Our government will disintegrate because of exposing the truth - Harin

The Minister of Telecommunication and digital infrastructure Harin Fernando has added that the proposed expenditure for the import of vehicles has been misinterpreted by certain personnel to the public.

Nevertheless he has hailed the decision taken by the Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe to suspend the release of funds allocated by the treasury for this purpose. Harin Fernando had also added that certain elements had spread the news that he too was to get a new vehicle with that

proposal.

However he had elaborated that during the previous regime luxury vehicles to Ministers were imported secretly without the knowledge of the public.

He had further added that the present government in this exercise had openly disclosed facts to the members of parliament and the public and in that context had disintegrated and fallen apart for saying the real truth.

Minister Harin Fernando had also said that during the previous era luxury vehicles for the Commonwealth Heads of Governments Meeting (CHOGM) were imported at  a huge expense without  anyone’s knowledge.
