On a tip off the Wellawatta police had raided a brothel house along the coastal  belt on Weelawatta  42nd lane.There had been seven prostitutes at the tome of the raid of the brothel, five locals and two foreigners who were in the brothel house at the time of the raid.It is learned that this brothel had

patronized to a huge number of clients.

All prostitutes had been arrested and subjected to medical examinations. One Thailand prostitute had been found to have inflicted with Aids.It is reported that many had already have had sex with the Thai prostitute.

All prostitutes arrested are to be produced before magistrates courts on the 06th instant.

In this regard under the instructions of the deputy inspector general of police Gamini Maturata, senior superintended of police Palitha Panamaldeniya, assistant superintendent of police Nishantha Soysa the officer in charge of the Wellawatta police station Kapila Wijemana is conducting investigations with a team of police officers.
