Tense situation in parliament -- Update 2

The MPs Palitha Thevarapperuma and Prasanna Ranaweera who represented the Joint Opposition party of the Alliance and who were accused of
indecent behaviour in the brawl that took place in parliament after the debate in connection with the security of Mahinda Rajapaksa have been suspended for 2 weeks from entering parliament. The proposal in that respect was passed today in parliament and the absence  of both of them in the House today was something special. Their period of suspension for one week would take effect from tomorrow. The decision of meting this punishment was taken after the party leaders' gathering that assembled today. The parliament committee had recommended maximum punishment for them in respect of that brawl yesterday.
