Out of Daselas inspected 121 found to serve non edible food

The day before yesterday on the Vesak poya day the Public Health Inspectors had raided 4236 Danselas that were providing free food for the devotees.

The Public Health Inspectors society had added that
they were able to identify 121 Danselas where unhygienic food not conducive for consumption been served.They were asked to shut own by prohibiting and banning from continuing to serve the devotees.

It is learned that these organizers collect money from various persons and establishments and do not spend all the money thus collected and they prepare stale and unhygienic food.

The Sri Lanka Public Heath Inspectors union had said that 1 against 11 persons who had organized legal action would be institutes.

Altogether 6777 Danselas have been registered with the related Municipal councils and the rest which were not inspected were to be inspected on the following day.
