When the parliament assembled last Thursday, a dialogue between Deputy Minister Ranjan and Welgama, Member of Parliament relating to a female star cropped up. It is as follows:

Ranjan: This MP Kumara Welgama who has romantic connections

with actresses is my good friend. But I went and gave a file to the Bribery Commission because of a bus-transport issue. Then of course there's no friendship. (The council break into laughter).

Wegama: It's so with actresses. The public knows about my connection with an actress. It's a normal thing. Let me say one thing .... I won't go with old women.
