Kaushal still in hospital after been struck by a  Chandimal  pull stroke

The Sri Lankan squad from whom the the final 15 would be selected to tour England in May
next month were playing in a practice match at the Pallekelle cricket stadium .On the 24th instant when Sri Lankan opener Kaushal Silva was fielding at short leg  a powerful pull shot of Dinesh Chandimal had struck on the head of Kaushal Silva .He had fallen unconscious and was air lifted to Colombo.

After scans were taken luckily no damages had revealed.He has been taken out of the intensive care unit and removed to a normal room in the Nawaloka hospital.On the 25th instant he was to be seen a Neurosurgeon for further opinion before he is to be discharged.

The secretary of the Sri Lanka Cricket Mohan de Silva had added that his condition was not serious as the scan reports had not revealed anything bad.

Kaushal Silva is among the three opening batsmen selected for this tour of England.Kaushal was  a member of the Sri Lankan team that toured England in the year 2014 where in the Lord's Test he scored two half centuries.It is pertinent to mention that Kaushal Silva had already impressed the selectors in scoring a century in the previous practice match.
