Lacille removed from PRECIFAC
Secretary to the Special Presidential Commission of Inquiry to investigate and inquire into Serious Acts of Fraud, Corruption and Abuse of Power, Lacille de Silva was removed yesterday from the
post with immediate effect.
Presidential Secretary P. B. Abeykoon had conveyed the decision to the Presidential Commission via a letter.
Contacted for comment Lacille de Silva said, "I was shocked to hear my removal." He added that he had discharged the duties and responsibilities entrusted to him with diligence, impartiality and transparency and it was the reward he had received for all the hard work.
The reason for his removal is not known to me he had added.
