Results of General Certificate of Education, Ordinary Level was released this afternoon (19). It is something of special interest to note that the

majority of those who obtained outstanding results were from Colombo schools in the island.

According to what the Education Department announces, Sathsarani Hettiarachchi of Vishaka Balikava from Colombo has become first in the island while Saman Punsara of Nalanda College has become second. There are two third places. Malina Ratnayaka of Devi Balika Vidyalaya and Indhiwari Umayangana of Mahamaya Balika, Kandy are those who clinched the third place. Particulars of others, from below
