SF Lokka apprehended!

Iron Ranasingha alias SF Lokka who was identified as the main suspect of the incident of murder of owner of the nightclub Panorama in Anuradhapura, Wasantha Zoysa was taken into custody at about 7.30 this night, police sources say. He was arrested in Chilaw. The

police say that he was travelling in a motor vehicle somewhere close to Chilaw town and the police who were vigilant about his vehicle had stopped it and on that occasion there was no opportunity for him to escape and thus it was possible to take him into custody, the police say.

A special team of police officers from Anuradhapura Police Division being aware that he is travelling in that vehicle had given pursuit and had carried out this arrest. Iron Ranasingha alias SF Lokka is 26 years of age and after serving the police Special Task Force had later left the services. The name SF was coined to him with the meaning Special Force. Having maintained underworld connections in the area he had announced in his Facebook Account that an attempt is being taken to launch an earthquake and within the space of a few weeks with the support of labourer friends and two navy soldiers he had directed this murder.

The foundation of the killing in fact was the revenge he wanted to take for not admitting him to the nightclub by Wasantha for not paying the sum of Rs. 84000 extracted as services from Wasantha. Already 26 individuals including a brother of Iron and two Navy soldiers have been taken into custody. Iron who has been arrested is expected to be produced in courts to be detained and to be interrogated.
