It is likely that Sagala would fill Marapona's void

The internal government sources have revealed that with the resigning of  Tilak Marapona the Minister of Law & Order and Prison Reforms this  morning  it is likely that this void would be filled by appointing Sagala Ratnayake to the post.

It is learnt that the Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe has recommended the name of Sagala Ratnayake to be appointed.

The earlier the Minister John Amaratunga who held this portfolio was removed over a no confident motion.The Minister Tilak Marapona has lost the confidence of the cabinet Ministers.
