 Sir Garfield Sobers in Sri Lanka

The famous West Indian cricketer Sir Garfield Sobers has arrived in Sri Lanka yesterday.

The purpose of his visit is to witness the 2nd Test match between the touring West Indies team and

hosts Sri Lanka to commence at the P Sara Oval the day after tomorrow the 22nd instant.

Sir Garfied Sobers had represented the West Indian cricket team as an all rounder during the period 1954-1974.The two match Test series between the touring West Indies and Sri Lanka is been played for the Sobers-Tissera trophy.
