Mahinda pays visit to Sobhitha Thera ....

who was subjected to bypass surgery

Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa paid a visit of courtesy today to inquire about the health of Maduluwawe Sobhitha Thera who is undergoing further treatment after the prelate's bypass

surgery of the heart recently.

The Thera is being treated at present at Neville Fernando Hospital and he was subjected to a bypass surgery of the heart three weeks before at the Colombo National Hospital. Sobhitha Thera is a thera who dedicated himself to toppling the past Mahinda Rajapaksa regime and during the past period of time he had strongly criticised Mahinda. Whatever it is, though he took pains to bring about the present Maithri Regime, Sobhitha Thero nevertheless criticised the present government too recently over certain matters.
