Premiers’ utterances to Supreme Court verdict on Gota is upset - Nimal 


The verdict given by the Supreme Court not to arrest former defence secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa considering his fundamental rights petition submitted had prompted the Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe to point a finger at the highest judiciary of the country.

His action in protesting against the decision of the Supreme Court was considered not appropriate and illegal was quipped by the leader of the opposition Nimal Siripala de Silva.

The related decision of Ranil Wickremasinghe had been belittled and not accepted by a veteran politician like him is condemned and is a matter of deep regret was quipped by the leader of the opposition. This had been expressed by him via a notice.
