Marriage Registrar succumbs to death stun by a ‘Viper’ in her office

A lady marriage registrar in Wellawa has been stunned by a Viper while working in her office had died on the day before

yesterday the 20th instant.

This unfortunate incident had taken place when she entered her office to commence work. A Viper had crept in without anyone’s knowledge and been inside the room before attacking the lady marriage registrar.

The Viper had been under her table and stunned her when it was trampled without noticing its presence. She had screamed in pain when the neighbours had come to rescue her and admitted her to hospital. However before long she had passed away.

The deceased is K.P.J Chandralatha Ranasinghe a sixty three year old Death and Marriage Registrar. It is reported that she had made a yeoman service to the people of Wellawa area for a number of decades.
