Dr Nirmal Devasiri attacked at the Kirulapona May rally

The former president of the University lecturers

association and lecturer of the Colombo University, Dr Nirmal Ranjith Devasiri had been attacked by an unidentified group  last afternoon,near the Lalith Athulathmudali grounds in Kirulapona where the Wimal group’s joint  May Day rally was held.

As a result he had sustained injuries and had been admitted to the National hospital for treatment.
