Rume Marzook has quipped that a huge racket of repairing defective electrical equipments, packing in boxes and selling as new electrical items have been surfaced. These racketeers are learnt come in commercial vehicles and sell these fake electrical items on pavements where people gather. The Chairman of the consumer affairs authority had pledged that to protect the public is the duty of the authority. The Chairman has quipped to the public to be cautious when purchasing such items.

The Chairman also had wanted the public to accept a valid receipt for electrical items purchased and a guarantee for the items purchased. The Chairman has requested to submit the receipt of such items with the guaranty offered within three months of the purchase to the authority.
