Ven Udugama Buddharakkitha thera had on account of been indisposed suddenly been admitted to the Kandy general hospital for treatment. The doctors who had treated the Ven Maha Nayake thera had advised him to be taken to the Queen Elizabeth hospital in Singapore and accordingly after arrangements were made he had been flown to Singapore for treatment.
